BUREAU/3
Is born from the ongoing collaboration between Matteo Venezian and Lorenzo Donati — both trained at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio — and later joined by Michela Romanò, who also trained at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio and has international experience at Grafton Architects, working between practice and teaching. The project is a spin-off of BUREAU/D and grows from a network of collaborations across Europe, Asia, and America.
Â
The continuous work between these three architects develops an in-depth architectural research that explores the broader meaning of making architecture, connecting images, design, and urban responsibility. BUREAU/3 focuses on competitions and on creating high-quality architecture as both a research practice and a service to the community.
Â
In 2026, BUREAU/3 wins a national competition, strengthening their shared belief that architecture is a critical tool to engage with urban contexts and to shape the architectural object itself.
